Like the adjacent Donruss lot, this is a chance to pick up four of the very first Fleer Baseball issues that were produced following the end of the Topps monopoly in 1980, an undertaking provoked by a long-running Fleer lawsuit that was finally adjudicated and ultimately opened the door to two new manufacturers. These four sets – 1981, 1982, 1984 and 1985 – are each in outstanding condition, Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt in 1981, with a handful falling to Excellent, and the final three years easily Near-Mint to Mint, seemingly with the appearance of a factory issue, with blazing colors and gloss, consistent centering and a pristine overall presentation. Each sets have 660 cards, with the Hall of Famers and major stars falling into the same broader condition range as the overall grouping.
