Take a look at this amazing aggregation and you’ll be whisked back to the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, with the Mets prepared to walk on water and American astronauts performing similar miracles on the moon. This array looks like it’s been undisturbed for that near half-century, with card after card boasting blazing colors and marvelous photography, nice gloss and razor-sharp corners that simply insist that these are uncirculated cards. There are numerous stars and minor stars from across all seven series, many subjected to what might be termed “major duplication,” which can be a wonderful designation in an array of pristine pasteboards that point to a clear “vending” heritage, right down to the distinctive bend so recognizable to advanced collectors. The other big indicator of such cardboard royalty would be the startling pink-colored card backs, so vividly presented here that it defies description. And yet we tried.
