Presented here is an opportunity to pick up nearly the complete set run of Topps baseball from 1976 to 1987, the heyday of the “modern” baseball-card collecting hobby. The lot would provide a spectacular basis for a modern Topps collection, with sets providing a super uniform look from year to year, with nice color and gloss and sharp photo registration. Specific condition ranges are listed below for the 1970’s issues, but from 1981-87 the sets are in boxes and essentially factory sets, solid Near-Mint to Mint and even better, with perhaps a handful of cards below. The 1976 set (in album) is largely Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt, with some below and the emphasis to the upper end of the scale, 1977 (also in album), 1978 (album), 1979 (box) and 1980 (album) are Near-Mint to Mint with some below and emphasis to Near-Mint. The sets from 1982-87 are all in boxes.
