From the historic 1927 New York Yankees season. This is his monthly payroll check made out in the amount of $668.74 to starting shortstop Mark Koenig and signed by club president Ed Barrow ("8" strength) and club owner Jacob Ruppert ("10" strength). Also signed on the back by Koenig "9" on the back who died in 1993. This was Koenig's third season in the majors and second as a starter, which is hit .285 and scored 99 runs for what is widely considered the best team of all-time. The check has a light stain across the middle and cancellation marks, and is authenticated and slabbed by PSA/DNA.
