Presented here is a nice array of cards from Topps’ inaugural NFL issue in 1956, which also was the final year that the baseball and football cards were produced in the oversized 3 5/8-by-2 5/8 configuration. This grouping has some minimal duplication and includes many of the biggest stars of the period, with nine Hall of Famers mixed in along with a number of specials and stars. The condition range is basically from Very Good to Excellent to Mint, with a handful above and below and No. 42 Tom Fears appearing in a PSA 7 Near-Mint holder.
