Presented here is a neat accumulation of mostly nonmainstream football issues from the 1970’s and 1980’s, several hundred cards and more with many complete sets and near-set in a high-grade uniform condition. We’ll start with the unique 1978 Topps Mini Posters produced on a heavy card stock to 5 ½-by-8 ½-inch dimensions. A total of 48 of the 50 cards in the issue are presented here in Near-Mint or better condition, with a lineup that includes Bradshaw, Campbell, Dierdorf, Dorsett, Fouts, Griese, Ham, Harris, Lambert, Martin, Payton, Selmon, Staubach, Waters, White and Youngblood. There are dozens of McDonald’s sets or near-sets, including the 4 ½-by-6-inch issue from 1985 (33 different, Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt) and the 3 ½-by-4 ½-inch issues from 1985, with typically more than 20 cards per team, including Bears, Eagles (2), Bucs, Browns (2), Rams, Bengals and Giants. There are late-1980’s Police sets, 2 ½-by-4 inches, with about 18 sets or near-sets, including Dolphins, Raiders, Redskins (6), Bears, Chiefs (4), Eagles, 49ers, Vikings and Jets. Topps inserts from the era include Nr-Mt 1983 Stickers (Puzzle) with 32 cards, 1976 WonderBread All-Star Series (24) and 1984 Topps NFL Football Stars Collectors Edition 28/30. The final element is a pristine grouping of 1991-92 bookmarks – 2-by-8 inches – with different teams and some duplication (66).
