This is a really cool lot of vintage hockey material from decades past, all of it in super condition and in some cases still in its original cellophane packaging. The lot is headlined by six pristine Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Heroes Autographed Pin-Up Sportrophies, the spectacular 1975-76 nonmainstream issue, with each 15 ½-by-8 ¾-inch card in original cellophane packaging. The standups were made of and extra-thick laminated cardboard and featured NHL stars in a yellow frame decorated with red stars. Featured here are standups numbered 20-25 of the Flyers: Barber, Clarke, Leach, Macleish, Parent and Schultz. There are Topps Glossy Inserts from 1976 and 1977, complete 22-cards sets both in Near-Mint condition. The 1976 Glossy set features rounded corners in the 2 ¼-by-3 ¼-inch glossy format on heavy card stock; the 1977 set features square corners. The final component in the lot is the 1985-86 Montreal Canadiens Postcard issue, 27 of the set total of 29 of the 3-by-5-inch cards featuring color images of the team’s stars set against a white backdrop and with facsimile signatures on the back. Cards are in Near-Mint condition.
