This 3x8 document was written on Feb. 16, 1827 and is endorsed on the back by Francis Scott Key in black dip pen. The document acts as a check from the "Farmers & Mechanics Bank of George and is payable for $124.50 to Scott Key. It has several small holes and several vertical folds, but is still very legible and the signature is authenticated by JSA with a full LOA.
