This 12x17 partly-printed Presidential Appointment is dated March 10, 1914 and signed by Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President, who served two terms in office. It appoints William A. Rice to Postmaster of Saratoga, California, and is signed by Wilson and Alan S. Burleson, the Postmaster General, in black fountain pen with NM/MT signatures. The document has the original Post Office seal (exhibits wear and has a small repair) and exhibits a few scattered areas of foxing and a small puncture along the right edge. It comes matted to an overall size of 18x21 and ready for framing.
