Offered here is a nice, collectible grouping from the popular early 1970’s nonsport arena, the 1972 Topps U.S. Presidents issue that pictured American presidents and in the case of 1972, candidates for that office. This lot represents a partial set of 32 of the complete set of 47, with an additional 16 duplicates included. The grouping is largely Excellent to Excellent to Mint, with a complete breakdown provided: Near-Mint (4) – No. 2, 4, 17 o/c and 19 o/c; Excellent to Mint (33) – No. 1 Washington, 2, 4, 6, 7 (2), 8, 9 o/c, 10, 11, 13, 15, 18 Grant, 20, 21, 23, 24, 26 o/c, 27, 28, 29 (2), 30 (3), 34 Kennedy, 35, 36 (2), 37 and 38 (3); Excellent (4) – No. 2, 6, 39 and 43; Very Good (2) – No. 9 and 34; Good (5) – No. 14, 15, 16 Lincoln, 19 and 26.
