This lot offers 15 different “Strange Peoples of the World” and 11 different “Popular Film Stars”, both made by Vita Brits in the 1950s. Both sets are quite rare although somewhat overlooked by non-sport collectors. The list of “Strange Peoples of the World” (set of 36) include: 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27 and 28 with 10 of the cards including a tape residue mark on the back although they appear NM on the front. Nos. 13, 24 and 28 are shortprints. The “Popular Film Stars” (set of 30) group includes 1, 4, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 17, 18, 24 and 28 with this group in lesser condition, more toward VG with a few being creased. The No. 1 Moore card has paper loss on the front, with the key card, No. 10 John Wayne, arriving in Poor condition, with No. 17 Clark Gable in VG.
