This OAL Cronin baseball is signed by four umpires, including Nestor Chylak and Bill McKinley. Mckinley signed on the sweet spot in blue ink, adding "Best Wishes", while Chylake, Al Smith and Hank Soar signed opposite panels, all in the same blue ink. Chylak was an American umpire in Major League Baseball who worked in the American League from 1954 to 1978. He umpired in three ALCS (1969, 1972, 1973), serving as crew chief in 1969 and 1973. He also called five World Series (1957, 1960, 1966, 1971, 1977), serving as the crew chief in 1971 (in which he called balls and strikes in the decisive Game 7) and 1977. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999. McKinley umpired 2,977 major league games in his 20-year career. He umpired in four World Series and three All-Star Games. Soar was an American football running back and defensive back in the National Football League who went on to have a long career as an umpire in Major League Baseball. Soar played nine seasons for the New York Giants (1937–1944, 1946), and caught the game-winning touchdown pass in the 1938 NFL Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers at the Polo Grounds. Signatures are authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full LOA.
