This OAL baseball features the rare signature of Don Black on the sweet spot, with a light coat of shellac over it. The words "July 10, 1947" and "Pitched No Hitter" are added to the North panel. Black struggled with alcohol for most of his career, gained sobriety and pitch a No Hitter vs. the Athletics on the date above, then suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on the field, which marked the end of his professional career. Black passed in 1959. The rare signature is authenticated by PSA/DNA with a basic COA.
