This is a truly nice grouping from one of the iconic Topps issues of the period, the colorful 1959 set that boasts colorful backgrounds and a wide array of Hall of Famers (15) and specials, found here in an impressive Excellent to Mint to Near-Mint overall condition, with a few falling below the range and the emphasis probably Ex-Mt. As is common with high-grade groupings, there are particularly pristine sections given to solid Near-Mint assessment sprinkled throughout; the First Series cards are probably a bit lower than the broader range, essentially Excellent to Ex-Mt, with the condition improving in later series. About half of the 440 total have the kind of centering that might prompt and upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to prompt an off-center qualifier. The grouping, which comprises about 87 percent of the first six series of the issue, would provide a great launch on a complete set or could be used to upgrade an existing one; of the breakdown listed below, the cards indicated are within the wider range of Excellent to Ex-Mt unless indicated otherwise.
