This is a really neat, almost unprecedented offering of unopened packs of the quirky 1972 Sunoco Stamps issue that features 2 3/8-by-5 ¾-inch packs with nine (9) pristine stamps in each pack. The stamps were given away at Sunoco stations around the country, with 12 offensive players and 12 defensive players issued for each of the 26 NFL teams, making a total of 624 stamps in a complete set. This lot would feature 450 Mint condition stamps, or almost three quarters of a full set, assuming even distribution. The album booklet – in nice condition – is included in the lot.
