Presented here is an array of cards from the famed 1961-63 Post Cereal enterprise that planted baseball cards on the backs of cereal boxes and invited youngsters to try out their scissoring talents, with of course mixed results all around. There are 133 cards in this group, with the lion’s share in the inaugural year of 1961 (74). The cutting efforts here are fairly typical for the genre, yielding a naturally wide condition range of Very Good to Excellent, with some below and a few above, including about almost 30 cards that are deemed Fair, often because of the dreaded scissoring blips. There’s a baker’s dozen Hall of Famers included and listed in the breakdown below. The lineup: 1961 Post Cereal (74), including Mazeroski, Herzog, Schoendienst, Ashburn, Williams and Wilhelm; 1962 Post Cereal (42), including Bunning, Fox, Killebrew, Cepeda, Torre and Ashburn; and 1963 Post Cereal (19), with Marichal and Hodges.
