As the sports card hobby started to take off and go mainstream in the 1970’s, the notion of additional non-Topps auxiliary issues expanded a bit, with Kellogg’s leading the way with its card issues that began in 1970 and would continue past the opening of the card market to Fleer and Donruss in 1981. Slightly smaller and more vertical in dimensions than mainstream cards, the Kellogg’s issues also diverged from convention by offering cards in a 3D-style technology. Offered here are seven sets of the Kellogg’s cards in essentially Near-Mint condition, with a handful below. The lineup includes: 1972 All-Time Greats (18), the complete set plus three extras – Collins, Hornsby and Young; 1974 (54); 1979 (60); 1980 (60); 1981 (66); 1982 (64); and 1983 (60). The Burger King lineup (Near-Mint or better): 1977 Yankees (13); 1978 Rangers (23); 1978 Yankees (23); 1978 Astros (23); 1979 Yankees (23); 1980 Pitch, Hit and Run (34); and 1980 Phillies (23). Additional complete sets (same condition description) include: 1984 Ralston Purina (33); 1983 Topps All-Stars sets of (22) and (40) cards.
