This is a nice near set of the popular folk hero Davy Crockett, who took the 1950’s by storm and thus attracted the notice of cardmaker Topps for inclusion in its growing non-sport lineup. This is the Green Back Crockett issue, 2 5/8-by-3 ¾ inches, presented here in a binder and in largely Very Good to Excellent condition, with a couple below and the emphasis probably Excellent. The eight missing cards are Nos. 50, 61, 63, 64, 68, 69, 71 and 73.
