This is a really nice grouping of the 1952 Bowman Baseball issue representing just over 1/2 of a complete set and including seven Hall of Famers and 19 of the very difficult high numbers. This array – presented in a binder - is noticeably better than these early Bowman cards are typically found in older collections. The condition range is broadly Excellent to Ex-Mt, with the emphasis to Excellent and a just over a couple of dozen below, most to VG-Ex. The Hall of Famer lineup includes Ashburn, Doby, Harris, Irvin, Roberts, Schoendienst and Slaughter, plus key stars Adcock, Erskine, Friend, Garcia, Hodges, Jensen, McDougal, Minoso RC and Thompson. A single card has been slabbed: No. 150 – PSA 6. A number of cards that would seemingly challenge for an Ex-Mt designation are deemed Excellent because of gum stains on the reverse, a very common occurrence with this issue.
