Offered here is essentially ½ of a complete 1955 Bowman Baseball set, a mostly VG-Ex to Ex-Mt array that would represent a great start on the final Bowman issue of the company’s storied tenure in the baseball card arena. About ½ of this array is Excellent or better, noticeably better than this condition-sensitive issue might typically be found in older accumulations. This group includes a half dozen Hall of Famers and 14 of the difficult high numbers, along with both Frank Bolling variations. Presented in a binder, the group includes a number of important stars from the era along with the HOFers; the HOF listing features Ford, Slaughter, Ashburn, Roberts, Lemon and Kiner, and the star group boasts Minoso, Larsen, Elston Howard RC, Gilliam, Kuenn, Newcombe, Furillo, Erskine, Roe, and umpires Rommel, Runge and Jackowski. Six cards – Fox, Thomas, Minoso, Stephens, Pope and Littlefield – are cut between 1/8th and 1/16th of an inch short horizontally.
