The greatest moment in Brooklyn baseball history is commemorated here with a pristine Christmas card featuring Santa Claus and artwork of the historic team’s World Series ring and a nifty team photograph of the 1955 World Series Champions on the inside. The 5-by-7-inch card could hardly be in a more pristine condition – easily Near-Mint to Mint – with its Dodger Blue and red ink artwork on the front and blue cursive notations on the back. One the inside is the black-and-white team photo at 6 ½-by-3 ¾ inches, perhaps one of the most widely recognized group photos in major league history, most notably with the famous Schaeffer Beer 3D commemorative coming to mind. The back features four key dates listed under a “Good Old 1955” title: April 10 – Ten in a row for Major League Getaway record; July 10 – 11 ½ game lead at All-Star Break; September 8 – Earliest National League Pennant Clincher; and October 4 – Thanksgiving Day came early. That is followed by “Wait ‘til Next Year! With good wishes from all the Dodgers.” The word “Dodgers” is done to neatly match the club’s famous script logo from the front of the home jersey. This is truly a unique and historic collectible celebrating the moment that ended decades of disappointment for the Brooklyn Faithful.
