Presented here is arguably the most attractive baseball card issue that Topps produced in the 1970’s, the 1975 Topps set that boasts the dual-color panels and full-bleed design that makes the cards so particularly condition sensitive to even the slightest nudges. This example is probably a bit broader in condition range than is typical, but ultimately mostly Excellent to Ex-Mt with the emphasis to the upper end of the scale, with several dozen cards falling below the range and a handful above to Near-Mint. About 35 percent of the set has varying degrees of a diamond cut; 13 of the team cards – Tigers, Phillies, Royals, Orioles, Padres, Red Sox, Angels, Pirates, Indians, Rangers, A’s, Braves and Yankees – would be assessed as Poor due to being badly cut. That aside, the set still has a nice overall presentation, with good gloss and bright colors and key Hall of Famers and stars generally falling within the broader condition range.
