This lot offers two handwritten and signed letters from former players, with both including Jackie Robinson content. There's one from Edward Chandler, who played on the 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers, which discusses his career, along with the Jackie Robinson movie and his role in it. The other is from Clyde Sukeforth and dates 12/16/77 and mentions that he "had a very minor part in the Robinson deal." Sukeforth was the first scout sent to Robinson in 1945 and was his first manager when he was signed by Brooklyn. Both are written in blue ballpoint pen with full signatures.
