Here are three impressive yearbooks from the heyday off the greatest baseball dynasty in history, the stretch from 1949-64 when the Bronx Bombers won 14 American League pennants and nine World Series in the span of 16 seasons, a level of dominance unchallenged and certain to remain that way. The group is a headlined by a 1953 Yankees Sketchbook, as they were known at the time, coming at the final season of their record string of five consecutive World titles. The 52-page, 8 ½-by-11-inch sketchbook is in Fair condition, actually presenting a bit better than the technical grade, with some corner damage on the cover and slight paper loss to corners on a number of inside pages. A 1962 Yankees Yearbook is in Excellent-Plus condition, again at 52 pages, and of particular interest since it documents the team’s fabled 1961 season that included Maris’ breaking Babe Ruth’s home run record. The final item is a 1963 Yearbook that boasts the artwork of the legendary Willard Mullins on the cover; it is also 52 pages and in Good condition, with a small tear to the back cover.
