This is a simply spectacular trove of official ABC Television publicity stills from the 1970’s, almost all from Monday Night Football or the Indianapolis 500. The official 7-by-9-inch black-and-white images are almost uniformly Near-Mint to Mint or better and feature many of the greatest stars in racing and a veritable Who’s Who of 1970’s NFL football, including a host of Hall of Famers. Most photos include a 5 ½-inch square sheet of cutline information with the official ABC Television logo along with a paragraph about the particular Monday Night Football game or the ABC race being televised. The racing photos are just a whisper more pristine than the MNF counterparts, which have a couple Ex-Mt or Near-Mint examples in the mix.
