Presented here is a truly compelling partial set of 1961 Topps, largely Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with some above to Near-Mint and some below, mostly to Excellent. Given the size of the group we won't break down individual card numbers, but even with the light duplication the array comes out to about 70 percent of the cards from Nos. 1-523. The lineup includes three Hall of Famers, many stars and Rookies and a host of specials, including 16 Managers, nine Teams, six Baseball Thrills, two World Series, three MVP’s and four League Leaders, along with eight of the famous “Combination” cards that were a Topps Co. staple for more than two decades. This grouping has about 85 or so cards found with the kind of centering that might prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to warrant an official “off center” designation.
