Presented here is a nice example of an important Topps issue from the 1970’s, the 660-card 1974 set that is found here in a binder in an attractive, consistent presentation and also includes the 44-card Traded subset. The regular-issue cards are found here in a condition range a bit broader than might typically be found in mature collections, largely Excellent to Near-Mint, with some below and the emphasis to Ex-Mt (with a number of Near-Mint cards as well) and the Traded set conforms to the broader condition range. The year marked the first time that a mainstream Topps set was issued all at once rather than in series, a Topps’ departure from a format that had ruled for more than two decades. The breakdown of keys: No. 1 Aaron Tribute – Very Good, 10 Bench – Ex, 20 Ryan – Ex-Mt, 85 Morgan – Ex-Mt-Plus, 130 Jackson – Ex-Mt-Plus, 280 Yastrzemski – Ex, 300 Rose – Nr-Mt, and 456 Winfield – Ex-Mt.
