Johnny Mize is the subject of this original illustration by Murray Tinkelman. Mize signed boldly in orange Sharpie with the piece measuring 9.5x12 and matted to dimensions of 16x20. Tinkelman is an award-winning artist who has won gold medals from the Society of Illustrators, The New York Art Directors Club and the Society of Publications Designers. His illustrations have appeared in a variety of publications such as Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. He has had a one-man exhibit of his baseball art at The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in 1994.
