Former Royals Designated Hitter Billy Butler donned this Negro League jersey for the Kansas City Royals on July 10, 2008 as they topped the White Sox 4-1. Butler went 0-for-3 that day. This jersey was a Negro League style jersey as the Royals were the Monarchs, the Kansas City Negro League team for the day. On the front of the jersey shows large "KC" letters. Butler signed this jersey on the back of the "6" in 16 with a gray sharpie. This size 50 jersey has AIS tagging on the lower right side of the jersey. The pants are AIS size 40 with the tagging shown inside the waistline. Attached to the tagging are two small tags that read "29 and 42". To the right of the small tags is a nameplate that says "16".
