Mitch Maier wore this special Kansas City Monarchs Negro League style pants and uniform for two games at Pittsburgh on June 26 and 27 of 2009. On June 26, the former Royals player went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts. The Royals fell 5-3. Maier didn't play on the 27th, where the Royals lost 6-2. The jersey was an AIS size 48 with tagging on the lower right side of the jersey. Maier signed the jersey on the back with a black sharpie. Also on the back of the jersey is evident loose threading present. The pants have the main tagging on the waistline. To the right of the tagging, a small "30" tag is present. To the left of the tagging there is a nameplate that has "35" sewn on. This uniform has MLB hologram LH041320 below the nameplate.
