This is a handsome grouping of 1955-57 Topps baseball cards, an array markedly better than these cards are typically found in older collections, essentially Near-Mint for the 1955 cards and Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt for 1956 and 1957. There is one Hall of Famer included in the array – Hal Newhouser – and a host of important stars and Rookie cards from the era, virtually all found in a highly collectible that would make the lot an important vehicle for upgrading almost any existing set. From 1955 the stars listing includes Sievers, Cunningham Rookie, Hoak, Sauer, O’Dell, Moon, Amoros, Skinner and Ken Boyer Rookie; the 1957 group includes Crandall, Narleski, Stephens, Thomson, Post and Dropo. From all three years, about ½ of the array has the kind of centering that might prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation.
