From the franchise that for literally generations had seemingly made the World Series its private play thing comes six World Series ticket stubs from legendary Yankee Stadium, plus a pristine unperforated sheet of three ALCS tickets from the rare period when the club steered clear of postseason play. The six World Series stubs: 1) 1942 World Series Game Three – Excellent; 2) 1950 World Series Game Three – Very Good; 3) 1952 World Series Game Five – VG-Ex; 4) 1957 World Series Game One – VG-Ex; 5) 1958 World Series Game Five – Ex-Plus; and 6) 1960 World Series Game Three – VG-Ex. The final element is intriguing as well: a pristine Ex-Mt unperforated sheet of three ostensibly ALCS Games 1, 2 and 3 is undated but the Club President facsimile autograph on the back is Michael Burke, who held that position from 1966-73. That was precisely the eight years at the conclusion of the legendary dynasty that did not feature any postseason play, which followed the club’s unbelievable 16-year stretch from 1949-64 that featured 14 American League Pennants and nine World Series crowns.
