Here is a spectacular example of the famous Hillerich & Bradsby World Series Commemorative Black Bats, with this Near-Mint condition 35-incher boasting glistening gold H & B nameplate and the barrel stamping “St. Louis Cardinals, World Champions 1967,” along with 33 player names – also in gold stamping – done in either facsimile autographs from the iconic Louisville Slugger archives or block all-capital letters. The names include legendary figures from the Cardinals clubs that racked up three National League Pennants and a pair of World Series crowns in a five-year span from 1964-68: Gibson, Brock, Carlton, Cepeda, Maris, Flood, Tolan, Briles, Javier, McCarver, Schoendienst, Shannon, and Maxvil, among others. The esteemed Black Bat Series remains one of the coveted collectibles connected with the Fall Classic and is a must-have for generations of collectors.
