This is a spectacular pin commemorating a Giants World Series victory engineered by legendary figures like Carl Hubbell, “Prince Hal” Schumacher and Mel Ott; this was the final World Series appearance for a Washington D.C. ball club until 2019, when a reincarnated version would return to the Fall Classic. The ornate 1-inch in diameter enameled pin has red, green and blue highlights with cross-bats design element and surrounded by “Giants” and “World Series” top and bottom and “1937” bifurcated to each side. The pin presents handsomely, jostled only by some slight migration of green ink to the “Press” section and the barest whisper of wear to the center baseball depiction. Threaded original post and clasp and with stamped Dieges & Clust on both the clasp and the back bottom of the pin directly beneath the maker’s mark.
