This striking 1-inch in diameter press pin artfully employs a snow-white enamel circle with elegant gold highlights noting “Tiger” and the year, with black and gold Tiger logo at the center. The classic design presents in spectacular fashion, with only the barest whisper of wear at the gold rim. The original screw-down post is intact and working; stamping of “1/20 10K Gold Filled” appears on the back below the maker’s mark. In a tumultuous seven-game Series, the Tigers lost an historic Game Seven when enraged Motor City fans took out their agitation on Cardinals left fielder Ducky Medwick after his hard slide into third base after a triple in the top of the sixth inning. Losing 9-0 at the time almost certainly added to their agitation.
