Here’s a rare opportunity to pick up the complete run of the first seven sets of Topps Wacky Packages Stickers, that groundbreaking non-sport issue that delighted a generation of youngsters in the middle of that dismal decade and provides similar levity for serious collectors almost a half century later. The 2 ½-by-3 ½-inch stickers picture the fabled color artwork that parodied the hundreds of beloved/iconic consumer products with gruesome depictions and anguished puns, disturbing parents, educators and even the Topps legal talent at the time, forced to contend with the occasional corporate lawsuit. As noted, this is an unprecedented chance to find all these classics in a nice, uniform Ex-Mt to Near-Mint condition and with no creasing and no extraneous writing on the backs, all, dare we describe it thusly, tastefully presented in plastic sheets and binders. The breakdown: 1973 Series One (30 stickers), all white backs, with Band-Ache – Very Good; 1973 Series Two (30 stickers), all white backs, with Run Tony; 1973 Series Three (30 stickers), all tan backs, with correct Spit and Spill; 1973 Series Four (30 stickers), all tan backs, with Mess Clairoil and Windhex versions; 1973-74 Series Five (32 stickers), all tan backs; 1974 Series Six (33 stickers), all tan backs; and 1974 Series Seven (33 stickers), all tan backs, with Grime Dusty-Greasy version.
