The great Ken Boyer, arguably the top National League third baseman for the better part of a decade in the 1950s and 1960s, shows up here with his classic rookie year royalty check from the Topps Co., a whopping $115 from the Brooklyn-based behemoth that is signed by then-president Joel Shorin. Along with the check comes Boyer’s 1964 Auravision Record (7-inches square, Near-Mint to Mint), an unsigned Boyer photo in color and a Cardinals logo sticker (4-inches in diameter). The Topps check (presents Excellent with some minor creasing that does not detract from the presentation) is dated June 20, 1955, Boyer’s rookie season, and is signed by Boyer on the back and Shorin on the front.
