Here are three important yearbooks from the most celebrated franchise in major league history. The books touch on two particularly significant years in team history, along with a striking front cover from 1967 that honors the most revered figure in postwar Yankees history, Mickey Mantle. Here’s the breakdown: 1) 1961 Yankees, featuring the team that rolled over its American League challengers and threw in a home run battle between Mantle and Maris to boot, 44 pages – Ex-Mt; 2) 1964 World Series, Cardinals vs. Yankees at Yankee Stadium, the final year of the amazing 16-year stretch from 1949-64 that saw the team win 14 pennants, 68 pages (unscored) – presents Excellent, with a couple of pinholes in the upper lefthand and righthand corners; and 3) 1967 Yankees, with four-page color centerfold, 50 pages, with Mickey Mantle artwork on the cover – VG-Ex.
