Presented is a handsome, essentially Excellent to Near-Mint or better example of the groundbreaking 1964 Philadelphia Gum Football issue, a partial set that features a huge array of PSA-slabbed cards that offer a nice glimpse into the wider condition range. The Ex to Near-Mint range also includes a few below and a significant number of blazing Near-Mint to Mint blazers. It’s a nice, consistent presentation, providing a clean, uniform look to an important issue, indeed, the first of four football sets that the Philadelphia Gum Co. produced in the mid-1960s. There are a total of 66 missing numbers and some light duplication elsewhere from a total of 173 cards; the list of missing cards appears at the end of this entry.
