Presented is an important early Chicago Bears warm-weather mesh jersey, the club’s first-ever mesh jersey which featured double-ply shoulders, diagonal shoulder seams, midnight navy round mesh collar and screened-on sleeve stripes. Most notably, the shirt boasts full block numeral in solid midnight navy hot press, the first deviation from the club’s rounded numeral font and two-color numerals that had ruled for more than two decades. Wilson Size 42 labeling appears on the tail. Turner’s name appears in midnight navy tackle twill on a nameplate across the shoulders; shirt shows nice, even wear and a major repair on the upper back.
