November 19, 2020: Fall Auction

Here’s one of the most unusual 1959 Topps Baseball group lots that you will encounter, both in condition – which is mostly Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint – and the huge level of duplication, which could run to a dozen or so cards from a couple of players to four Duke Sniders and seven cards of Nellie Fox. This is a truly amazing array that is decidedly focused on the First Series of that coveted issue, with cards that are routinely Near-Mint or better, with only a few dozen out of the total count falling below the range, mostly to Ex-Mt. Here’s a partial breakdown of the larger quantities: Gardner (14), Philley (12), Danny’s All-Stars (9), Cerv (9), Noren (9), Turley (9), Keegan (8), Drott (8), Larker (8), Kellner (8), Fox (7), Richardson (7), Grammas (7), Witt (7), Kuenn (6), Moford (6), Bertoia (6), Bolger (6), Green (6), DeMaestri (5), Pilarick (5), Berberet (5), Hall (5), Snider (4), Cicotte (4), Worthington (4), Torre (4), Becquer (4), Coleman (4), Martin (4), Smith (4), Miksis (3), Pafko (3), Donovan (3), Whisenant (3), Jones (3), Veal (3), Ramos (3), Buddin (3), Wilson (3), Yost (3) and many others.
