Here’s an intriguing old-fashioned style lot, loaded with value and boasting some of the great Topps baseball and football peripheral issues, along with other non-mainstream productions from other companies. An imposing group of mostly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint 1964 Topps Baseball Giants headlines, along with a full box of 1979 Topps Baseball Bubble Gum, more than two dozen of those quirky 1977 Pepsi-Cola “Gloves” Discs featuring the great superstars of the day, plus 1972 Topps NFL Stand-Ups and more. Here’s the breakdown: 1) 1964 Topps Baseball Giants (20) – No. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12 Kaline – Excellent, 21, 24, 27, 30, 31, 33, 35, 38, 39 Aparicio – Near-Mint, 43, 44, 49 Aaron – Good and 55 Cepeda; 2) 1979 Topps Baseball Bubble Gum full box (72 pieces), box presents Ex-Mt but small unobtrusive number written in pen; 3) 1979 Bazooka Baseball Comics set (33) – Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt; 4) 1977 Pepsi-Cola Disc “Gloves” issue (26), Nr-Mt or better, including eight Seavers, four Schmidts (four different colors) and 10 Rose, plus Carew, Munson, Brett and Yount; 5) 1972 NFLPA Football Stand-Ups (4) – Near-Mint, including Unitas, Staubach, Namath and Sayers; and 6) 1985 Donruss Super Bubble Sluggers flattened boxes – Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt, with the emphasis to the upper end of the spectrum and including Ruth, Williams, Mantle, Musial, Frank Robinson and Aaron.
