Offered is a solid condition empty case from 1973 Topps Baseball, the important issue that marked the final year of the company issuing cards by series through the spring and summer. The empty case at one time boasted the presence of 24 boxes of 24 packs that sold for a piddling 10-Cents each. The box is in Good condition, opened at the bottom, with some of the expected wear from handling, along with in-house pen or pencil markings; comes with a 7 ½-by-3 ½-inch Topps mailing label addressing the case to the legendary Larry Fritsch in Stevens Point, Wis. That’s the kind of provenance that collectors like, linking an important Topps artifact to arguably the most prolific collector in hobby history.
