This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/19/2020
Here are three handsome MLB umpire game shirts, each with the distinctive league patch at the front and two of the three linked to specific veteran arbiters of the past. All three are in outstanding condition, showing use but otherwise largely as issued and intact. The first shirt was worn by longtime American League umpire Dave Phillips, who retired following the 2002 campaign. The light blue shirt has the embroidered American League patch on the left breast and Hathaway labeling at the collar. Shirt No. 2 is linked to Bill Hohn, a Senior Circuit ump who labored from 1987 to 2009. The shirt is blue polyester and has the embroidered National League patch on the left breast and the No. 29 in red, white and blue tackle twill on the right sleeve. The final shirt is a red knit with the American League patch above the pocket on the front and No. 29 in red, white and blue tackle twill on the right sleeve. It is signed in black marker above the patch by John Shulock. Three vintage wood-and-wire hangers are included with the lot.
