Arguably the most condition-sensitive mainstream issue that Topps ever produced, the 1971 Topps Baseball set has bedeviled collectors for decades because of the susceptibility to showing wear on the full-bleed black borders. The offered set is particularly impressive, basically Excellent to Ex-Mint, with the emphasis probably to Ex-Mt and several dozen at the upper end to Near-Mint, and some below, mostly to VG-Ex or Very Good. The set provides a nice consistent and uniform presentation, with good gloss and clean backs.
