Presented is an outstanding example of the popular 1969 Topps Football issue, a high-grade near-set missing just four cards and boasting a sparkling Near-Mint or better condition. That overall assessment is fortified by a subgroup of 15 PSA-slabbed cards that average slightly above a PSA 7 Near-Mint blessing. The 1969 Topps Football issue was a unique undertaking for the company in that it featured two distinct design styles for the card fronts: a full-bleed background on Series I cards that left corners of various blazing colors susceptible to showing the slightest bit of wear. Series II has a more conventional white-border configuration; adding to the condition sensitivity are black backs that also reveal the slightest bit of wear.
