Offered here is an outstanding example of the classic 1972 Topps Basketball issue, a near-complete set that is headlined by a PSA 4 (MC) No. 195 Julius Erving Rookie and a striking Ex-Mt to Near-Mint overall assessment for the rest of the gang, with the emphasis probably to Ex-Mt and a few falling below, mostly to Excellent. A total of eight cards are missing: Nos. 137, 154, 155, 166, 204, 235, 237 and 264. This was Topps’ second standard-size hoops issue from the era after two consecutive years of offering oversized cards, and at 264 cards the company’s largest ever to that date.
