A standout 1968 Topps Bobby Hull No 16 card in a PSA 8 o/c holder headlines a remarkable group of late 1960s and early 1970s Topps hockey cards, a blazing Near-Mint or Near-Mint to Mint accumulation that is further enhanced by the inclusion of 10 of the difficult 1970 Topps Sticker Stamps that adds another half dozen Hall of Famers to an already imposing roster. Seven Hall of Famers, including legendary figures like Gordie Howe and Jean Beliveau, are also featured in the 1968 Topps section, a pristine array of 80 cards that has a bit of duplication and a spectacular, consistent presentation with vivid colors and superb gloss, an accolade that could apply to all four subsections of the lot. Here’s the breakdown: 1968 Topps (81), with the PSA 8 m/c No. 16 Bobby Hull at the forefront, including Howe, Hull, Hall, Tony Esposito (2), Mahovlich, Sawchuck, Beliveau, Delvecchio and a No. 121 Checklist; 1970 Topps (96), including Bobby Hull, Howe, Martin, Mahovlich, Park Rookie, Parent, Ullman, Goldsworthy, Cournoyer, Gilbert and Dennis Hull; 1970 Topps Sticker Stamps (10) – Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, including Orr, Tony Esposito, Giacomin, Beliveau, Berenson, Unger, Van Impe, Ratelle, Grant and LaPerierre; 1971 Topps (8), including Bobby Hull, Phil Esposito and Ken Hodge.
