Here’s a nifty turn-of-the-century archive of one dozen classic tobacco items from some of the legendary issues of the era, headlined by a striking array of six B18 Blankets from 1914 in an inspiring Ex-Mt to Near-Mint condition, a 1910 Sweet Caporal P2 Pin and three nice condition T206 White Border cards, plus a pair of Piedmont Cigarette boxes (sans smokes). The two Piedmont Cigarette boxes are submitted with attendant T206 cards, though, of course, attribution to precise linkage is probably a stretch: the first Piedmont box (1 5/8-by-2 7/8 inches) is in Very Good Condition, with tax stamp affixed and attendant T206 White Border Parent is Near-Excellent; second Piedmont box is in Good condition, also with tax stamp and some unobtrusive archival notations affixed, plus T206 Devlin in Very Good condition. The array of 5 ¼-inch square B18 Blankets is sensational: 1) Ainsmith Brown Pennants, 2) McAllister Red Basepaths (presents Near-Mint with some very light staining), 3) Smith Green Infield, 4) Tesereau Brown Basepaths, 5) Wagner Blue Infield, and 6) Jimmy Walsh Blue Infield. Final two pieces in the lot are a T206 White Border Burns (Piedmont Back) in VG-Ex and a 1910 Sweet Caporal P2 Pin of White in Near-Mint condition.
