This is an impressive group of Topps baseball cards from three classic sets at the dawn of the 1960s, an array with more than two dozen Hall of Famers and a vast roster of many of the top stars of the period. Names like Aaron, Koufax, Clemente, Banks and more than 20 others headline, along with a PSA 6 Ron Santo No. 35 Rookie card from 1961. The largest subgroup, from 1960, includes 81 cards pretty much divided between Ex-Mt to Near-Mint (58 percent) and VG-Ex (42 percent), broken down as follows: VG-Ex (34), including No. 1 Wynn (2), 10 Banks (Good), 227 Stengel (VG-Ex), 300 Aaron (Fair), 420 Mathews (Good), 493 Snider (Good), 558 Mathews All-Star (Good), plus Alston, Tanner, Burdette, Bauer (2), Keunn, Runnels (2), Woodling and Richardson; Ex-Mt to Near-Mint (47), including nine Rookies, Neal (2), Allison, Dark, Thomson, Sanford, Crandall, Giants Team and Fork & Knuckler. As noted above, the No. 35 Santo Rookie in a PSA 6 holder headlines a group of 46 cards from 1961 Topps Baseball that is broadly Excellent to Ex-Mt, with some below, and includes a dozen Hall of Famers, five All-Stars from the difficult high-number series, five World Series subset cards, five MVPs and a pair of Checklists. The lineup includes: No. 10 Brooks Robinson (Ex-Mt-Plus), 20 Roberts (Ex-Mt), 120 Mathews (Ex-Mt), 200 Spahn (Ex), 344 Koufax (Ex-Mt), 350 Banks (Ex-Mt-Plus), 360 Frank Robinson (Ex-Mt), 388 Clemente (Ex-Mt), 415 Aaron (Ex), 429 Kaline (Ex), 443 Snider (Ex-Mt), 517 McCovey (Ex) and 577 Aaron All-Star (VG-Ex), plus the No. 307 World Series Mantle Homers (VG), Murtaugh and Skowron All-Star, and five (5) MVP subset cards of Fox, Newcombe, Konstanty (2) and Shantz. The final section from 1962 (15) is roughly VG-Ex, with some below, and includes No. 60 Koufax (VG), No. 53 League Leader Mantle/Maris (Good) and the No. 140 Babe Ruth subset card with Gehrig (Good).
